Why CCS?

Our vision is to accelerate the worlds transition to a carbon negative future

CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage) is the process of capturing CO2 from power plants, industrial facilities, and large scale emitters, for use or storage, thus preventing the captured CO2 from being released into the atmosphere.

BECCS (Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage) or bio-CCS is the process of capturing and storingCO2 from facilities using bioenergy as fuel, hence creating negative emissions by removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

Investment in CCS is crucial to reduce the amount of CO2 being emitted to the atmosphere, and hence mitigate the associated environmental and economic impact of climate change.

To reach UN’s climate goals and net zero by 2050, carbon capture must increase by 100x in 30 years – translating to 6,2 billion tonnes of CO2, which is more than today’s global oil production.

Why choose Capsol's HPC technology?

Highly competitive solution for carbon capture with ~40% lower cost than traditional capture solutions.

Utilises patented technology for recirculation of heat that maximizes the efficiency of the absorption / desorption process in conjunction with HPC (Hot Potassium Carbonate).

Unit is powered by electricity only. No need to invest in steam production to run capture unit. Ability to integrate with process steam from the parent plant if available to further improve economics.

Non-disruptive standalone unit. Easy to install. Short delivery time (installation and commissioning in 18-24 months). No emissions of unsafe or potentially carcinogenic byproducts.

CCS is essential to reach net zero
